I am a lifelong Spanish speaker. I grew up on the Mexican-American border, and have spent several years of my life in Tijuana and Mexico City. I also spent a half year in Buenos Aires, Argentina, taking classes and exploring the city. I have a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Reed College, and I've taken several classes on Latin American literature, as well as general Spanish writing courses. I've done some work as a conversational tutor at Reed, and lately I have been developing my skills as a literary translator. I am also a musician and I have a passion for art and philosophy!
As a tutor I like to focus on building conversational skills. I believe that learning a language is best done through lots and lots of practice. I can provide the space for this type of practice, in a fun and constructive setting.
