My name is Megan Rodriguez. I am a student at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and will be graduating this upcoming Fall semester in Interdisciplinary Studies with a teacher certification from Early Childhood through 6th grade. I also have an Associates of Arts in Teaching from Northwest Vista College. I started tutoring when I was 18 years old. It started off by working as an after school care counselor at my old elementary school. During this time, I supervised and tutored elementary grade level students with their homework. I found it fairly easy and enjoyable to help students with content they have difficulty with. For this reason, I chose to pursue a career in teaching and I have enjoyed my college experience since. I have also worked at Pre-K 4 SA as a teacher assistant for 1.5 years. Other than work experience, I have earned many tutoring hours throughout my classes at Northwest Vista College and UTSA. Every semester, I have to complete 80+ hours of tutoring in order to pass my classes. For this reason, I have gained great experience with tutoring.
