Stress is by doing less than you can.

Get to know the student's like or dislike to understand their strengths.

By teaching him or her different methods to study.

Go back to the basics. And be patient.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Have them read out loud.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
Using a game approach or sports.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Explaining to the student the importance of doing what they are doing, and how it had benefitted me as a teacher, and how I had applied it in my life.

I like the step by step method.

Telling them my story, and how I worked hard to achieved my goals.

By paying close attention on their behavior about a subject.
