What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that all students can learn and reach their potential when given the right tools to help them succeed. It takes getting to know the students and working with them to help them build the basic foundation needed to achieve success.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I would get to know the student, their likes, dislikes, and ask them where they think their problem areas are as well as strengths. I would then do a short assessment of some basic skills to establish where they are mathematically.
