I am currently a Teaching Assistant for a Calculus 1 and Calculus 2 class at the University of Texas, where I work with smaller and larger groups of students to correct misconceptions and deepen understanding. Before moving to the area, I was a full-time math teacher in Boston for 4 years, where I was in charge of writing and developing differentiated lesson plans based on students' learning types and abilities, while creating an atmosphere that is conducive to student learning and fosters confidence both socially and mathematically. I am able to transfer this to one-on-one tutoring sessions and find the best way to help my students reach their full potential. I am confident in my mathematical knowledge, but even more so in my ability to use hands-on lessons to create an untapped love of mathematics.
