I recently graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have always had a passion for math. My introduction to Physics in college sparked an interest allowing me to apply my math skills to the world around me. I am a qualified tutor in Algebra 1 up to college Statistics and Calculus.
Although my favorite subjects to tutor include Algebra and Trigonometry, my interests are not limited to only math and physics. My dream career is to one day become a Physical Therapist and teach ways to help prevent injury. In the meanwhile, I plan on continuing my education by pursuing a Master's of Biology in Evolutionary Biology and Systematics at George Mason University next Fall.
In my experience, I've helped students make progress in their grades and have worked to fill the gaps within their math skills. I fully understand the subject and always show a variety of ways to reach the answer. I can identify weaknesses and help build them using simple exercises and quizzes. I also have experience tutoring international college students in math and science. I have fallen in love with tutoring and using my skills in mathematics to help others succeed. I volunteer as much time as possible with the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. and have been trained to work with school programs to engage elementary through High School students in practical scientific studies and activities.
