I graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Physics. While in SDSU I volunteered at least two hours/week as a tutor for the Society of Physics students, helping many students with both math and physics. I found that tutoring was very rewarding, especially in those moments when I could watch a student "get it". Helping students arrive at that point required me to adapt the way I communicated concepts based on the student, which was also lots of fun. I enjoy tutoring in general, regardless of the subject, but I particularly enjoy tutoring physics because there are so many cool things to think about and so much opportunity to create new examples. As a physics major it's fair to say I have a touch of bias there, but physics is where my passion and curiosity lie and I believe those are the two traits most critical to learning. I intend to keep actively learning my entire life, feeding my curiosity, and I hope to impart some of that curiosity in each student I tutor.
