...field of study is bioarchaeology of the ancient Maya, which is the excavation and analysis of human remains from Maya archaeological sites. I have been working in Belize and Guatemala for the last three years. I have also previously worked in Nasca, Peru excavating ancient cemeteries. My laboratory analysis of human remains is focused on the stable carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen isotope analysis of human bones and teeth that I collect in the field.
