I am a graduate of Columbia University and Trinity College Dublin, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. As a passionate educator, I bring over five years of tutoring experience across a wide range of subjects. My background includes A-Level English Literature and History, as well as AP English Literature, AP World History, U.S. History, European History, AP Art History, AP Biology, and SAT Reading and Writing. At both universities, I also mentored fellow students, helping them strengthen their research, writing, and study skills while supporting them in navigating the college experience. Beyond higher education, I have taught children aged 5 to 13 at Notting Hill Preparatory School in London, where I worked closely with the Special Educational Needs Department; supported literacy development in Harlem through the America Reads program; and taught English to adult refugees and asylum seekers in Dublin.
While I enjoy tutoring across disciplines, I am most passionate about History and English Literature. My tutoring style is tailored to each student's unique learning needs, with the goal of sparking joy and curiosity in learning, building confidence, and improving academic performance. I believe tutoring should go beyond grades; it should inspire students to develop a genuine love of learning and equip them with tools that enrich their lives both inside and outside the classroom.
I am especially dedicated to helping students gain confidence in their abilities and encouraging them to approach subjects with creativity and curiosity. Whether preparing for exams, strengthening foundational skills, or nurturing intellectual exploration, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel empowered to express their ideas and develop strong critical thinking skills.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy traveling, hiking, live music in all its forms, and reading.
