With a background in sound design and audio engineering, I bring both technical expertise and creative insight to my tutoring practice. My passion for helping students stems from the joy of witnessing someone unlock their own artistic voice through sound. Whether it's learning the fundamentals of audio editing or diving into the nuances of mixing techniques, I love guiding students as they discover the tools that bring their ideas to life.

I've worked with students in both academic and studio settingsfrom mentoring undergraduate sound designers to coaching independent artists on how to navigate DAWs like Pro Tools and Ableton Live. I hold an M.F.A. in Sound Design as well as a B.F.A. in the same field, and I've been fortunate to work across disciplines including film, live performance, and installation art.

I tutor subjects such as audio production, sound design, digital audio workstations (DAWs), field recording, and media literacy. My favorite area to tutor is sound recording and mixing, because it's where creativity and technique meet. It's not just about knowing how a compressor works, but how to use it to serve a story or a mood.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, hands-on learning, and a commitment to helping students develop their own unique voice. I believe the best learning happens when students feel safe to experiment, ask questions, and explore without judgment. My tutoring style is flexible and I adapt my approach to match the goals, skill level, and learning style of each student.
