I hold a PhD and a Master's from Cornell University, a Master of Arts from Brooklyn College, and a Bachelor of Arts from James Madison University. With extensive experience teaching college writing, public speaking, theatre, film, and media, I've worked with students in large lectures, small discussion-based classes, and one-on-one mentoring. My teaching philosophy emphasizes active learning and critical engagement, helping students develop their voices through exploration and discussion. Outside of academia, I sing as a member of a Connecticut chorus, and I enjoy riding my bike and going on trail walks.
