As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from NYU, I've dedicated my career to fostering a love for language, storytelling, and self-expression in students of all ages. With over seven years of tutoring experience, my work spans traditional academics- including AP English Language and Composition, Creative Writing, and reading comprehension- as well as arts-based learning in performance, visual arts, and music.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in compassion, creativity, and curiosity. I strive to create a supportive space where students feel seen, heard, and empowered to think critically and express themselves fully. I believe every learner has a unique voice, and I tailor my approach to honor their individual needs.

My passion for the arts, alongside my academic background, allows me to bring a playful, imaginative spirit into each session- encouraging students not only to succeed in school, but to explore their own creativity along the way.

Hobbies

Outside of teaching, my passion lives in a wide array of artistic mediums. I’m a classically trained pianist with a deep love for crafting film scores. I'm also a writer, in which my practice centers around poetry, songwriting, and lyricism. In my other mediums, I'm a photographer, actor, and performer with a special interest in dance and movement as forms of embodied storytelling. Beyond the arts, I’m also a long distance runner. I’ve recognized the support that it’s guided in helping me connect to my body, release tension, and find mental clarity. I’m continually inspired by the ways creativity, emotion, and physical expression intertwine, and I draw from these practices to support students in finding their own voice, rhythm, and confidence. Whether I’m creating or teaching, I view art as a pathway to healing, growth, and deeper self-awareness.
