I am passionate about assisting students with their studies because I want all individuals to go forward to experience the rewards of success and do amazing things for humanity. I strongly believe that anyone can master the sciences and that is part of my mission as a tutor. I have tutored in the past in high school and University in conjunction with mentorship programs and saw high levels of success with all my students. My honours degree in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial biology (from the University of Calgary, received 2024) allows me to tutor chemistry, and biology at both the high school and university level, I have also completed the MCAT and am able to tutor BBLS and PSBB sections. Given my background in cancer research and cellular biology my favourite subject to tutor is molecular biology and biochemistry (I really love the Krebs cycle and think the processes our cells complete daily are fascinating).
As a tutor I strongly believe that everyone can master the sciences and I encourage my students to adopt a growth mindset. I like to use diagrams in my teaching and frequently use simplistic metaphors for the behaviours of molecules and the like.
