I'm currently a student at Mithibai College of Arts, one of the most prestigious colleges for learning Psychology in Mumbai. I have been tutoring students for the last 3 years, and I've been on Varsity for 4 months now. My keen interests in psychology and organisational work make me a good fit to help students with executive functioning. I've found my stride particularly in guiding and inspiring students grappling with ADHD. For the past four months, I've been privileged to lend my expertise on the Varsity Tutors platform, where I've honed my craft in fostering English proficiency and enhancing executive functioning skills in students ranging from grades 2 to 7.

My approach is as dynamic as the minds I engage with. Utilizing vibrant, customized presentations, I fashion reading materials tailored to each student's unique interests. By infusing their favorite characters from beloved movies and TV shows into the curriculum, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of personalized learning. The joy that blossoms when a previously disengaged student eagerly absorbs new words and concepts is immeasurable.
What truly sets my heart ablaze is the tangible impact I've had on my students' lives. The moments when parents express awe at their child's newfound focus and enthusiasm for learning are the true markers of success. Grounded in my background in psychology, I am finely attuned to the diverse needs and learning styles of my students. I endeavor to craft lesson plans that not only educate but also inspire, tailored to the unique strengths and challenges of each individual.
Beyond my work with younger students, I've also had the privilege of sharing my passion for psychology, sociology, and philosophy with older students in grades 9 to 12. Integrating pop culture references and injecting a dose of fun into my teaching materials, I strive to make the complexities of these subjects accessible and engaging.
In every interaction, I am driven by the belief that education is not merely about imparting knowledge but igniting a lifelong love for learning.
I have also taught Debate and Publich Speaking during my time as Club Leader at TED-Ed Clubs JNS. I enabled 30 students to conceptualise and perform their 5 minute TED-Ed Student Talk! What sets me apart is my unique use of mind-mapping, speed reading and other memory techniques, perfected over many years of using them for my own educational journey. These enable me to break information down into easily digestible chunks which significantly reduce the time required to grasp any piece of information. I make it a point to incorporate these techniques into my teaching methodology. I have seen tremendous growth in my students academically owing to the fact that I tailor my lesson plan according to their interests and strengths. Outside of tutoring and completing my degree, I usually spend my time meeting up with my friends or making jokes at the local comedy club!
