About Me

I presently hold the position as an Exceptional Children Adapted Curriculum Teacher Assistant. This position involves some of the following: establishing as fully as possible supportive and sympathetic relationship with the student (s) without fostering or encouraging intense emotional involvement and communication with regular/special education teachers about student information as appropriate. I'm in a Highly Qualified status by passing the C-paraprofessional Assessment. I've had over 30 years experience in providing one on one and group instruction in targeting student's learning needs both in the general and special education population. These subjects have included: reading, study skills, language arts and math. My emphasis is reinforcement. Reinforcement has been a great advocate in increasing a student's: motivation, self-confidence, attending and academic improvement. Upon completion of tutoring, students have made noticeable gains.
