About Me

I am a medical graduate (MD) from The Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan, an internationally accredited medical college and the top med school in Pakistan. After graduation I decided to go into academic research rather than clinical practice because I wanted to make a difference through basic research. Soon after I became an instructor in immunology at my alma mater. I immigrated to the US in 2003 and since then have beenin basic sciences (Molecular biology) research. My strengths are immunology and cell biology but I have some experience in all body systems because of my medical background. I also like teaching math and in fact my very first job after finishing high school equivalent was a job teaching mathematics to O level and A level students in Pakistan.
