Hi, I will be attending Texas A and M University this fall 2021 as an incoming freshman in the honors program. I am currently a senior at Coronado High School in El Paso, Texas and I will be graduating in mid-June.
I am excited to become a Varsity Tutor to help student like myself succeed in their education. I want to help students excel in everything that they do, ranging from classes to standardized tests. I have a passion for helping others and becoming a Varsity Tutor is one way to channel that passion into something good.
I have had experience tutoring students through a free tutoring service called STEP Tutoring that I participated in throughout this past year.
My favorite subject to tutor is math ranging from basic math to advanced levels, including Calculus AB, BC, and college level math. I also tutor for the SAT Test in both, math and reading sections.
When I teach students, I believe that the most important aspect is getting the student to understand the topic while also having fun. I want my students to leave my tutoring session with more knowledge and understanding than they had when they started. I will do whatever I can to help my students succeed whether that includes giving them more knowledge and understanding of abstract topics or helping them improve their scores on standardized tests such as the SAT. While teaching, I like to make my tutoring sessions interesting and as fun as possible. I try to interact with my students and get to know them so that I can direct my teaching towards my student's goals.
In my spare time, I love everything that has to do with sports. I like to play tennis and I enjoy watching sports, especially football and basketball.
