I'm a lifelong learner with a passion for sharing what I've learned. I especially love working and teaching at the intersections between Art, Design, and Technology. I earned my first college degree studying Industrial Engineering at Stanford University. That led me to a thirty year career as an Information Systems Project Manager specializing in I.T. Risk Management and Business Process Improvement. When my kids had moved out on their own, I decided to take a leap of faith to pursue my lifelong love of art and design. I retired from my first career to return to school full time, earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD), along with Associates Degrees in Photography and Interior Design from St. Louis Community College. At MIAD I majored in Studio Art, and minored in Furniture Design, Art History, and Writing. Right now my favorite subjects to tutor are Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel. Each of these toolsets are very powerful, but take time and practice to learn. I enjoy helping to make that learning curve easier for other students. As a PMI-certified project manager, I also love teaching project management tools and techniques. My tutoring style is very interactive, using hands-on examples and step-by-step methods.

My favorite pastimes are spending time with family, capturing nature and still life photographs, and taking classes at the community college. I work part-time creating 3D models and photorealistic renderings for interior designers, so enjoy learning new tools and skills for 3D modeling.
