After many happy, productive years as a teacher (mostly in elementary school), I'm ready to step away from my classroom; however, helping students thrive, grow, and achieve is still an exciting challenge that I'd like to stay connected too.
I started tutoring when I was in high school (working with younger children). This carried forward to college working for my campus's writing center, and continued into my career as a classroom teacher. I can help an elementary student with whatever subject they might need, and a middle school or high school student with literature or writing.

Much of my free time is spent with my young son. We ride bikes, explore woods, paddle kayaks, watch old TV shows, and get up to all sorts of mischief. The entire family (wife, son, dog, and I) enjoy traveling together when we can. On my own I read, listen to many podcasts while doing chores or exercising, and enjoy woodworking.
