My formal teaching experience includes undergraduate literature, multi-genre creative writing, and fiction writing courses at a large and diverse university with global campuses. I also worked as a tutor in a university writing center, serving students across all disciplines.
Creative writing is my favorite subject to teach. I learn something new in every session, probably owing to the "less lecture, more workshop" model.
I recently returned to Utah from the D.C. area, where I attended graduate school and earned an MFA in Creative Writing.
Undergraduate Degree: George Mason University - Bachelor in Arts, Creative Writing
I love to read and write (of course!), hike in the mountains, and walk other people’s dogs. When the pandemic is over, the first things I’m going to do are: visit the library, go to a movie in a crowded theater, and cook a meal for as many friends and family members as I can seat at one very large table.
