I first obtained my BS from Angelo State University with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics. I was fortunate enough to combine my love for chemistry, physics and math to earn a PhD in physical chemistry from Florida State University. There, I studied how to combine the properties of dielectric and magnetic materials in unconventional ways. I am quite passionate about educating others in Science and Mathematics, as I see them as a means of providing exciting new perspectives on otherwise mundane topics. But I also understand the struggle to learn in these subject areas, as the technical jargon can makes you feel like learning a new language. I definitely felt this way when starting Graduate School. So I've always remember these experiences and have enjoyed the challenge of trying to make science and math relatable to anyone. Learning should be fun!
