I am a graduate of RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology). I received my Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and I'm in the process of earning a Master of Science in Applied and Computational Mathematics at RIT. In my career of 12+ years of tutoring before joining Varsity Tutors, I've been a private tutor for several hundreds of students based on word-of-mouth referrals. I have extensive experience in several topics of Math and Test Prep for SAT/ACT Math. In particular, I love sharing my passion for the endless real-life applications of Calculus and I especially enjoy the puzzle-solving process of evaluating Integrals.
My tutoring style could be best described as "Personalized and Modular" in the sense that I like to break down complicated topics/problems into a sequence of basic skills. I then gradually ramp up the difficulty over several examples while customizing them to a student's personal/career interests. Most people tell me they hate Math; however, I think deep down those people like Math but instead they just hate the way they were taught. There's nothing more satisfying than guiding a student to not only succeed academically in Math courses, but to genuinely appreciate its elegant beauty and remarkable applications in everyday life.
In my spare time, I like to run, cook, read, play chess, and watch documentaries on all sorts of random topics.
