I am currently a Teaching Student at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. I am studying to receive my Masters Degree in Teaching with Teaching Certification in Mathematics. I was previously a Mechanical Engineering Student with an Applied Mathematics Minor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. There I was a part of the Albert Dorman Honors College and maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. I am scheduled to graduate from Montclair State University in spring of 2021 following clinical practice in student teaching.

I have previously been employed by NJIT as a math tutor at its math tutoring center. I assist students with general lesson comprehension, homework help, and test preparation. At my university I have tutored college students in subjects including precalculus, Calculus I and II, Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations, and Probability and Statistics. I am also comfortable teaching math at a lower, primary level. During the last four summers I teach STEAM oriented classes at a Talented and Gifted camp program.

My favorite part about tutoring is helping students have their "ah-ha" moment. For each person, it takes different amounts of time and practice to reach this moment, however, there is nothing more rewarding than being one of the tools that makes it possible. I strongly believe in application and example based learning to help build a toolbox of essential skills and knowledge to combat more difficult problem solving.

I believe I am an outstanding math tutor due the combination of my current standing and levels of experience. I find that learning from a person who is still heavily learning themselves (such as a student), can be very beneficial as they are more likely to understand types of learners. However, this elastic mind often comes with lack of experience. I as a tutor come with a learning mind and several years of experience.
