A communication scholar by passion yet a business professional by experience, I bring a unique skill set to Varsity Tutors. I have superb communication skills sharpened through both formal education and real-life application. Currently, I utilize these skills in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University as a MA candidate and researcher, as well as in my role as a teaching assistant in the Broad College of Business. I am also the current district director of MSU's Delta Sigma Pi, a business fraternity focused on building professional skills in its members.

I received my BA from Albion College, where I studied communication studies, professional writing, and international studies. Upon graduating, I worked as a digital account associate for a small company in Grand Rapids, MI. I worked my way up to a manager role, before leaving in July 2019 to further my education at MSU. A Michigander born and raised, I enjoy nothing more than spending time up north with family and friends (and a few good books). I have an adorable cat, Bellatrix, and am very passionate about health and wellness. I plan on applying to PhD programs this fall, and hope to one day become a professor and continue my communication research.

My experiences have taught me the key to success with any project or goal is effective communication. I am excited to use my skillset to help more students reach their academic goals.
