Following a successful 20+ year career in real estate brokerage management, I have devoted the past 19 years to aiding over 7,800 students with obtaining or upgrading their real estate licenses.

I recently surpassed 13,000 classroom teaching hours, including over 2,300 virtual hours via Zoom.

I created or updated many of the courses offered by the real estate academy where I currently teach.

I am also approved by the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO) as a Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI). This certification is now required by most states for online instructors; and, I currently serve as "Instructor of Record" for 89 courses in 16 states.

Many years after receiving a B. S. in Business, I returned to school to earn an MBA. I felt that I was falling behind so far as technology and current business education trends were concerned. Working toward the MBA forced me to catch up, and I cannot emphasize enough the value of this education.

I do my best to make learning enjoyable, and to inject some humor when possible. And, my years of experience have provided me the ability to share relevant, real-world, and easy-to-understand examples for virtually every topic.

State-mandated real estate licensing courses can be quite intense; however, I know that my teaching style tends to be a bit "laid-back." I cannot take myself too seriously, as some of my "real-world" examples are more learning experiences than they are success stories.

While I specialize in real estate education, when I was in graduate school, I also substitute taught middle and high school classes for a total of 803 days. I was always in high demand, especially by math, business, and language arts teachers, due to my ability to walk into a classroom and to begin teaching effectively whatever topic was assigned.

It's difficult to express the satisfaction I feel when I see a student's "Ahaa!" moment when they grasp the understanding of a previously challenging topic; or, to see and hear a student's expression of gratitude when they learn that they have passed the class assessment or the state exam.

Away from education, I have been an avid tennis player and an accomplished unicyclist. Currently, I primarily enjoy fresh- and saltwater- fishing and doing activities with my children and their families.
