What is my mission you ask? For humans to be not only loved but empowered by love to live whole lives and serve their community. I know, super crunchy granola, right? Well, part of that journey involves cultivating a love of learning.

I've been a teacher for the past 11 years from FL to Japan to NYC, spanning across several core subjects (math, Algebra, ELA, and ESL), and within public, private, and charter.

Most recently, I've started building a non-profit with an educator friend of mine that aims to elevate youth through social/emotional programs within the arts and kinesthetic learning. Also, last October 2018, two of my educator friends invited me to help them consult a Waldorf school in Oaxaca, MX. It's been invigorating learning and serving.

Besides education, I enjoy writing, reading (library card + e-reader = game changer/nerd status), staying active (biking in NYC), traveling, and learning languages.

As far as my specialties, I'm an organized professional with proven teaching, guidance, and mentorship skills. I possess a strong track record in improving core competency skills and executive functioning for students with special needs and those requiring remedial support. I'm skilled at communicating complex information in a simple, inviting manner. I enjoy and connect with my students and families and invest them in their learning journey. I hope to meet you soon.
