Learning an instrument has a powerful way of affecting long-term positive change in our lives. It can transform who we are, build confidence, and help prepare us for everyday challenges. As a guitar teacher, Im interested in helping students find what Ive cumulatively experienced in 19 years of playing, touring, and teaching. Namely, a way of discovering themselves using an instrument and sound theyre already beginning to personally identify with. For me and what I primarily teach, the multi-dimensional genre of Rock is what captured me the most. Outside of music, Im a father and husband working in fisheries science with interests in reading, surfing, and developing community.
