I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with my Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in chemistry with an unofficial minor in mathematics. My work as a crime laboratory chemist has allowed me to gather real-life chemistry tales to relate to my students to aid in furthering their understanding. I particularly enjoy helping students surprise themselves by their realization that they are able to understand and appreciate relatively complex chemical and mathematical concepts. I am excited to share the elegance as well as the logic and orderliness of chemistry and mathematics.
Working puzzles, reading, and walking while thinking about chemistry occupy my free time. Give me some algebraic word problems and I am good to go!
