English and literature are my passion, second only to helping students to develop their own passion for the subject matter! With a background in childcare, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Screenwriting, and three completed novels under my belt, I'm ready to work patiently and diligently with students to discover their academic success.
After completing three books in my high school career, I went on to study Screenwriting at the School of Visual Arts, where I received Honors and the Rhodes Family Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film for my academic excellence, as well as the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Screenwriting at the 28th Annual Dusty Film and Animation Festival for my work on the television series "After Oil", among numerous other grants to produce the series. The pilot of this series, directed, written, and produced by myself, has been selected to play at the New York Television Film Festival, in addition to having been awarded an Award of Merit by IndieFest. I have written for publications such as Odyssey Online and The Fandomentals on the topic of news in entertainment.
My work often focuses on childhood, and I am immensely passionate about supporting educational programs which encourage students - such as I once was - to explore themselves through writing, reading, filmmaking, and art.
