I hold a professional educator license for the state of Illinois, certified to teach in a self-contained K-9 classroom, holding endorsements in middle school mathematics and social studies. I currently teach for a public school, with a course load of 7th grade math, 7th/8th grade Pre-Algebra, 8th grade Algebra, and 9th/10th Geometry. I also have experiencing teaching sixth grade math and 9th grade English. I received a Bachelor of Science in Education (2010) and a Master of Science in Education (2015) from Eastern Illinois University. In addition to my teaching certificate, I am a certified instructor through International TEFL and TESOL Training. I had the distinct honor of representing the United States as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand, helping Thai teachers incorporate student-centered teaching approaches in English as a second language classes. I am very passionate about history, research, and writing. I recently had research published in Social Studies Research & Practice. In my free time I enjoy reading, exercising, playing basketball, practicing music, and playing board games with family and friends. I thoroughly enjoy being able to pass knowledge to others, helping anyone I can achieve success.
