I have recently completed my B.S. degree at University of Washington and my major is Molecular Cellular Development (MCD) Biology.Throughout my academic career, I have been consistently praised as delightful, responsible, and confident by my peers and professors. Furthermore, while working on extracurricular projects, I have developed proven necessary skills and relevant science background to perform above expectations.Previously, I worked as an ESLA and science tutor during my sophomore year in college, so I am confident with my communication and teaching ability. I am an undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University. I am working to earn a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a minor in Art History. Ever since High School, I have had a passion for tutoring. I taught at a voluntary after school ACT program and tutored independently students across my county ranging from age five to sixteen. Growing up in a low socioeconomic area plagued with low standardized test scores I understood the power I possessed to give back to my community to those around me. Ever since I have been in love with tutoring and working with students to help better themselves and their intellectual growth. I have experience tutoring in most subjects but my main adoration has always been mathematics. I have encountered so many people who have a bitter taste in their mouth towards math due to their prior experiences. Whenever I am able to change their view towards math I am always ecstatic. I have witnessed the power education has to change someone's life and I want to pass on my knowledge to my students so they may pass it onto others one day themselves.

I'm a Neuroscience major with a minor in Spanish at BYU!Living in 7 different states and 3 different countries has given me a lot of unique opportunities to learn from diverse teachers and peers. From these experiences, I have gained an appreciation for many different learning styles. I began tutoring in high school at my international school in the Netherlands, and later I served as a religious teacher for two years as a missionary (one year in Argentina, one year in Colorado). Through these and other experiences, I have found that one of my passions is to help people make their own discoveries and realize their full potential. I am studying with the goal to become a medical doctor, however I plan to always keep teaching as a central part of my lifestyle.

I am currently a student at the University of South Florida where I am working towards a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. During my studies I have taught many of my peers through group study sessions. I have been thanked by several of my classmates for helping them understand concepts that they did not understand from lecture alone. I tutor both math and science spanning over many different skill levels. I also tutor students in preparation for standardized tests including ACT and SAT math, and ACT science. I really enjoy watching my students improve over time and seeing them reach their academic goals. I am a big proponent of education and learning by doing. This includes a lot of practice and interactive games along the way to spur interest in the subject of study. Outside of tutoring I enjoy playing and watching sports, and occasionally flying around the St. Pete and Clearwater area.

I'm a Chemical Engineering graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (Class of 2021)mand received a full tuition merit scholarship to attend. I have tutored high school and college students in Math, Spanish, French, Chemistry, and Physics. I got my start in tutoring in high school when I would help my friends study for tests. I realized how much I liked it, and I continued tutoring through college. My favorite subjects to tutor are Math, Chemistry, Spanish, and French.

I graduated with a B.S. in Human Physiology from Boston University in 2013. I currently work for BU researching and performing pre-clinical drug trials for a rare form of congenital muscular dystrophy. I have been tutoring for the better part of seven years, mostly focusing on one-on-one sessions in chemistry, physics, and physiology. For me, these are the most enjoyable subjects to tutor because through them we can begin to understand how and why the natural world works. The sciences are what propel our civilization forward and hold the keys to our future. It is a genuine pleasure to be able to share my enthusiasm on these subjects with new students and hopefully make the daunting world of natural sciences more approachable. Outside of work and teaching, I enjoy building computers, SCUBA diving, playing the blues, and testing out new recipes in the kitchen.

I am a student at the Georgia Institute of Technology studying Chemical Engineering. For the past several years, I have worked with students extensively. Through hosting events for younger kids to learn about STEM and for older teens to practice empathetic design, I know the importance of teaching students in ways that engage them rather than frustrate them, which I apply to my teaching. I have tutored high school students in a drop-in resource center in various subjects including math of all levels, chemistry, and English, making me adequately equipped in a variety of topics. I have also tutored several students long-term. Establishing relationships with students and exploring their unique learning styles is my favorite part of tutoring. I prioritize helping students discover HOW to learn in a manner that is the most effective for them, so they can begin to use those skills on their own throughout their education. Learning is a lifelong skill that requires practice for improvement; I strive to help my students gain confidence in their ability to learn.

Long before I graduated in May 2013 from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Public Health, I knew that I wanted to take a gap year between my undergraduate education and medical school to pursue personal interests of mine. These interests include continuing my experience as a tutor, focusing on my physical fitness by jogging, swimming and playing sports, traveling, spending time with my family and friends, and partaking in new activities that I have yet to become involved in due to time constraints. For instance, after graduating from college, I have so far had the chance to work with children as a lifeguard at a private day camp and as a volunteer at Celtic Charms, a therapeutic horseback riding center for the physically and mentally handicapped. Considering that I thoroughly enjoy teaching and working with students of all ages, I really appreciate the opportunities I have had thus far, such as tutoring Statistical Analysis and Principles of Biology I at the college level and GED math to underprivileged students in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Currently, I tutor high school math, including Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus, as well as high school Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. I also enjoy tutoring college level Biology, which consists of topics that are essential to my future career as a medical professional. In addition to enjoying the subject material, I take pleasure in motivating students to work as hard as necessary to achieve their goals, helping them to constantly improve their academic performance, and explaining challenging concepts using a variety of methods personalized for each student.
