I enjoy helping my students learn because I love seeing their sense of accomplishment when they realize they can understand a topic they once thought to be incomprehensible. I volunteered to tutor students for the ACT while I was in high school.
I went to high school at Simley and now I am a Sophomore at the University of St. Thomas. I am working towards a degree in Actuarial Science with a Mathematics minor.
I tutor many subjects including ACT and many levels of Math. My favorite would probably be ACT because it is a stressful test for many people and I enjoy being able to relieve a little of that stress. As a tutor I am fairly laid back and I try to help my students work their way to the correct answer. I do it this way because guiding them through their thought process instead of my own will allow them to replicate their success outside of our sessions.
My interests outside of academia consist mainly of sports and volunteering.
