What is your teaching philosophy?

I truly believe that anyone is capable of mastering any subject so long as they and their instructor are diligent, creative, honest, and patient.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

Ask them what their interest are and what they find most challenging about the subject that we are working together on.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

Try all the ways that I know to demonstrate a concept, take the one that the student gravitates to, and continue to use it until the student can identify it as their method of choice.
