I am a college graduate from Georgetown University. I have a large range of teaching experience from very young to adult. I have tutored students one-on-one and worked as an ESL Instructor at a college. I LOVE teaching! I am considered to have a caring approach and I try to make sure that learning takes place in a relaxed but studious situation.
On my free time, I enjoy listening to music, dancing, exercising, and helping others.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

All students can learn! There are no excuses and no dumb questions.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would start by reviewing the basics of the subject we are studying to make sure I understand the student's strengths and weaknesses, and their learning method. Then, I would proceed to addressing each of the student's concerns.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

By encouraging students to set their own learning goals and track their progress. Additionally, by providing formative feedback.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

By continuously reminding them of their improvement and challenging them to do better. Also, by trying different learning methods.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

Research different ways of learning that concept so I can approach it from different angles. Also, incorporate different tasks as part of our session, such as: games, individual and group activities.
