I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis this past December with a major in Chemistry (Biochemistry track) and minor in Spanish. I have tutored in Calculus III and General Chemistry in college, and I tutored in AP Calc and Spanish in high school. As a premed student currently in the medical school application process and science major, I can tutor in a variety of premed college courses, high school AP and regular science courses, SAT test prep, and MCAT sections. One of my favorite subjects to tutor in is Chemistry as I have taken many courses in the subject and really enjoy it. When tutoring, I like to emphasize understanding of key concepts through practical applications and I like to converse with the student ahead of time to see what learning style works best for them. When I'm not tutoring, I like to read, bake, practice yoga, cook, watch TV, and I recently started knitting!

What is your teaching philosophy?
My philosophy is to first focus on basic understanding of concepts and cement that understanding before moving on. I also like to converse with the student to see what teaching method works best for them and see what they feel they need to work on.
