I received my bachelor's degree in History from Vanderbilt University, in May. After graduating I remained in Nashville, and I am currently pursuing a career in journalism and media. During my time at Vanderbilt, I worked with the The After School Program (TAP), which gave me the opportunity to work with middle school students on their reading skills. I have also had significant experience editing and developing high school level writing. In addition to reading and writing I excel at tutoring in subjects such as American and World History, Social Studies, English, and American Literature. I grew up as the oldest of four boys and know what it take to not only engage and interest a student but also promote continued development on their own. I choose to tutor because I appreciate all that my education has given me. I was also given a lot of help while I made my way through school and understand how important it was for my academic development. I believe that I can make a difference in the lives of the students I tutor, just as my teachers did for me.
