Throughout my high school and college years, I loved math and Spanish. I pursued (and received) a minor in mathematics and a second major in Spanish simply because I wanted to continue my studies in both subject areas. I have tutored in the past (both Spanish and math) and enjoy the opportunity to work with students on a one-to-one level. I believe that individual attention can assist the student greatly in learning. After 15 years of working in a corporate environment, I am now a high school math teacher (Geometry) at Incarnate Word Academy.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 2 dogs, teaching Sunday school at our church, and reading.
I look forward to working with you!

What is your teaching philosophy?
I employ as many tactics as possible to convey mathematical concepts to students. I have been known to use props and colors to help bring the problem to life and better illustrate how to solve it.
