Throughout my years of college, I have truly developed a passion for learning, and take particular interest in helping other students succeed. As a graduate from the University of Miami with a bachelors of science, I know that hard work and determination can help a person grow. It is in my interest to assist others in doing just that. As a result of my tutoring experience throughout college, I have learned how to help students discover their potentials by highlighting their strengths and improving their weaknesses. I truly enjoy helping students understand confusing concepts and pushing them to excel.
In terms of my strengths, I am very patient with students and also persistent. I can ensure that I will teach all students the concepts they need to know in a proper way, providing them with a good foundation to succeed. I have developed many skills in science subjects, such as biology and microbiology, as well as writing and basic test prep. I will always do my best to help each and every student achieve their goals.
As a microbiology major, I have taken and done well in all of my science courses, such as biology, chemistry, physics, organic chemistry, and many more. I believe that I have the knowledge and understanding necessary in order to ensure that students will gain a proper grasp of any concepts they may have trouble with. Aside from my major courses, I take particular interest in English and literature. I enjoy writing and exploring the creative aspects of my mind. It is truly rewarding to be able to help others do the same as well, and challenge them to think in ways they never imagined.
I will always do my best to ensure a quiet and comfortable study session. I look forward to hearing from you, and hope to help you achieve your goals!

What is your teaching philosophy?
My goal is to engage the student in learning and gaining knowledge that will help them excel in the future. I prefer to direct students in the right direction for them to reach their answers rather than give it away to really enforce the concepts that they are learning.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session with a student, it is my goal to understand the learning style of the student and adapt to them. I also hope that they get a good idea of who I am and my teaching philosophy.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Students can become independent learners by reinforcing the concepts that they have learned on their own time. By doing this, they are able to highlight their strengths and weaknesses.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Encouraging students to work to the best of their abilities is the most important way to help them say motivated. It is important for students to know that it is okay to get questions wrong and not understand concepts right away. It takes time and effort to achieve your goals, and I will do my best to help you get there.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
When students have difficulty learning skills or concepts, I will try to explain it to them in different ways so that they are able to understand. Seeing things from different perspectives sometimes helps students grasp information better.
