Helped the student study for a Chemistry test on bonding, specifically predicting and drawing ionic/covalent bonds and Lewis dot diagrams. We mainly reviewed her notes and I explained some things more in depth (e.g. lone pairs = paired off electrons that cannot bond) and quizzed her on each section. There was a fair amount of material to cover, but she had already studied some on her own. She should be well prepared for her test.

We reviewed light, energy, and different ways of modeling the atom. I spent a good amount of time trying to explain the content by going a little more in-depth than what the teacher is doing in an attempt to make some more sense. I think he is struggling a little bit with some of the intermolecular and crystalline structure concepts as the definitions tend not to be completely black and white. He has his next Chemistry exam in a week and so it is important for him to get a better handle on identifying intermolecular forces and understanding crystal lattice structures.
