I am a very passionate individual when it comes to helping others. I have years of experience in tutoring from other tutoring programs, as well as tutoring programs set up to help students both in college and the military. I attended college at Truman State University and received a BS in Biology. I mainly tutor Math and Science subjects, but have plenty of experience in teaching English/Reading, and even Arabic for anyone interested in learning. My teaching philosophy is to break down subjects to their simplest fundamentals to make it as easy as possible to understand. In my free time I enjoy fitness, sports, chess, and video games!

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is to break down concepts and make them as simple and easy to understand as possible. There is no need to make a subject harder than it has to be.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a first session with a student, I like to get to know them a little bit. I learn about the students interests, as well as what they're struggling with and what kind of learning style they have.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

Part of understanding a subject is finding the answers to problems themselves. I try and give people the tools to not only be able to find the answer to problems, but the desire to find it themselves as well.
