I have been teaching mathematics (Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, and College Algebra) for seven years now. I have also taught AVID which involved development of test-taking skills mostly with the PSAT and SAT. Before this, I earned my bachelors degree at Towson University and have been continuing education one or two class at a time since. I will soon have my master's equivalency for mathematics secondary education.

Based on my experience, I can tutor the following subjects:

•Algebra 1

•Algebra 2

•Geometry

•9th Grade Math

•College Algebra

•Trigonometry

•PSAT Math

•SAT Math

Although this may sound strange to those that do not enjoy math, I love helping people with math. I suppose that I really just love problem-solving. For me, it is about taking information that you already know, building upon it, and making connections. There is usually more than one approach to finding the correct solution; it is just about going in the direction that makes the most sense to you. I would have to say my favorite subject to tutor is Geometry since I feel that it is the easiest to make connections to prior knowledge for these concepts.

Outside of teaching, I coach volleyball and softball and also play volleyball and softball on adult leagues.
