Teaching, sharing a passion for cultural diversity and lifelong learning have been guiding values throughout my life.
As an exchange student teaching French at the University of Georgia in Athens I was hooked onto sharing my passion for learning. At the University of Missouri in Columbia I created and developed a children's photo workshop aimed at boosting minority children's skills and self-confidence. Since my children have been of school age I have been home-schooling them in French, my native language, aiming to better prepare them for a global and interconnected world.
Since graduating from the University of Missouri in Columbia I have worked as a photojournalist, journalist and editor in Europe, Asia and the Americas, and in addition to the toughest school in journalism, it has given me the opportunity to dramatically expand my understanding of different cultures and people, and it has been a non-stop learning opportunity. It has also been a school in excellence and perseverance. Recently I’ve been working on a photographing and writing a book about my experiences traveling with one of the last traditional circuses in America while raising my family.
