Does the thought of doing math scare you? Algebra, Calculus, Statistics all sound too scary to you? Well, I used to be just like that until I found a tutor who made it all fun for me and all I wanted to do was Math subjects at school.
I currently teach college level Calculus and Statistics. I have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and two Master's degrees, one in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics and Operations Research and another in Business with an emphasis in Analytics and Decision Sciences. I attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia.
I love to tutor Algebra 1 and 2 and also Business Calculus and Statistics. I truly enjoy the applications of these subjects in daily life, thus, I am able to explain concepts to students in a very comprehensible yet effective manner. I have been a tutor in both of my graduate schools and being in that position has equipped me with the experience of relating to students with a variety of learning styles.
My teaching philosophy is to allow the student to come to the realization of the answer by themselves. That way the concept sticks forever! I tutor students by working with them methodologically on any problem and encouraging them to see the life in the problem they are trying to solve.
