I received my bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics at California State University Chico.
I was an AVID tutor in High school; I tutored Basic Math through Calculus II in College, as well as Computer Science and Supply Chain & Operations Management.

I can help you with Basic Math through Calculus II, and
Supply Chain & Operations Management (usually a Junior Level University Course)
I love tutoring Mathematics because of how empowered people feel when they learn how to utilize their new found skills.
As for my teaching style, it is my philosophy that all students should come prepared to learn and expect to gain a deeper and richer understanding of the material. I am not a cheat sheet or an answer machine, besides that won't help you past your test. My goal is to help you to actually learn the material in a way ingrain a deeper understanding of the subject.

Outside of academic pursuits, I concern myself with philosophy, logic, and civic engagement. I was the president of the Young Americans for Liberty Chapter at my college. I enjoy most strategy or role-playing games.

I know how hard it can be to struggle to learn a difficult subject, I am hear to take however much time you need to come to a happy place with your knowledge of that challenging subject. Sometimes it might take a while, and I am willing to go through it with you.

Give them a problem that they have the tools to solve but have not directly solved.

How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?

Show them how the can apply it to their life now.

What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?

Have the student solve a similar problem, and then teach the material back to me.
