My goal as a tutor is to help YOU find what works for YOU. Over the years, I’ve heard many students claim they don’t like writing, but I want to help you view the writing process as an opportunity to express yourself, and crystallize your ideas and beliefs. Let’s approach writing as a chance to discover and refine your thoughts and opinions – to paraphrase E.M. Forster, how do you know what you think until you see what you write? Your “way in” to writing can use what speaks to you – we can start with music, sports, art, movies, dance, video games, exercise, knitting, books, sculpture, or anything else you love! Even though writing is work for all of us, it’s a creative process that brings great rewards when you see what you’ve accomplished, and I’ll do everything I can to help you be successful and enjoy the journey.
