Since college, I have lived by a mission in my life: To create a world of purpose by giving people the tools they need to find success in their lives. I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, consistently rated in the top 25 public universities. I have a degree in Russian with two minors: International Business and Integrated Liberal Studies (The Western 'core cannon' with emphasis on how different areas, politics, art, science, were interrelated). In addition, I have a Certificate of Tutoring ESL from the Madison Literacy Council. Since graduating I have lived abroad in Russia, working in business and teaching and tutoring. I have experience with adults and youth of all ages, though mostly with older kids. I have instructed one-on-one and in group settings. I excel at anything 'logic based'- Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Philosophy, as well as English/ESL, Writing, Literature, 6-8 Math, and a variety of other subjects. I love to teach by allowing my students to discover the answers or new areas for themselves; my job is to help get over any hurdles that show up and to show them the way. I try to inspire by showing how knowledge is useful and how it can be applied to all areas of life and by inspiring curiosity. In my personal life I enjoy cooking, photography, movies and theater, reading about modern science (psychology of choice, happiness, nutrition). Also, I am pursuing additional educational certificates such as Curriculum Design and Learning Systems. In addition, I am involved in a personal growth organization, am a strong and intuitive facilitator, and firm believer in self improvement.
