I am a graduate of Georgetown University’s physiology masters program. I have tutored students in chemistry and life sciences for over six years. Most recently, I taught a summer course at Georgetown in the fundamentals of medical science to high school sophomores through seniors. I understand that everyone learns differently so I tailor my lessons to my students' needs and goals. Especially in subjects like organic chemistry, where students often feel overwhelmed, I am able to use molecular models to explain concepts like stereochemistry in more visual ways than are used in traditional instruction. I am passionate about my students mastering the concepts and falling in love with science. I bring a lot of fun and perspective on study habits and skills that foster success in the classroom and in life! I am also active in community service throughout Washington, DC and enjoy spending time with my husband and Golden Retriever.
