I am a proud Kansan with teaching experience from PreK to College in both brick and mortar and virtual schools. I received my Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with concentrations in American History and Spanish from Kansas State University. As a James Madison Fellow, I obtained my Master of Arts degree in History with specialization in American Constitutional History. I am passionate about student success, and believe every student can achieve at a high level. My greatest passion is promoting world language acquisition. Not every student learns another language at the same pace, but every student can have success in language learning. I have taught Spanish to students from PreK through college and my favorite moments are what I call "Lightbulb Moments" when a student masters a concept on which they have struggled and then everything suddenly makes sense! Throughout my career, I have taught Advanced Placement as well as credit recovery courses. In every situation, I work with students to find their strengths and we work together to achieve their goals.
