I graduated with a Master's degree from Rutgers University, where I focused on Modern Literature and Film. I've taught all aspects of writing, from ESL and basic writing to advanced expository writing, and I've taught 20th and 21st Century Literature, Film History, including world cinema, and have taught filmmaking as well. I also teach screenwriting and creative writing. I am most passionate about English, Literature, and Film. In my experience, the best way to prepare for Standardized Tests is through regular practice, the way you get better at soccer or volleyball or guitar.

I know the panic that comes from facing what seems like a mountain of detail and 'rules', but taking a breath and reviewing allows you to remember what you've already learned and to better retain it, too. Education is so important for lifewe are all born learningand that means staying engaged, especially in reading and writing, through our lives.

In my spare time I read (of course!), watch films, walk, hike, bike, cook, and play guitar. I've written a dozen screenplays and a novel and I'm working on finishing a collection of stories.
