It is the students' learning and I facilitate their learning.

I graduated in 2003 from Prescott College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with Math/Science as my Breadth 1. My intent was to teach at the one-room school, in the small town, where I was the Teacher's Assistant. Unfortunately a forest fire closed the school down.
The school district offered, and I accepted, a position in a Juvenile Detention Facility. For the next three years I taught High School Math to troubled youths, both in the detention facility and in schools. I earned my High School Math Certificate during this time.
In 2006 I accepted a position in a one-room school with grades K-8. There I was the Superintendent, Principal and Teacher to all of the students. I stayed at that school for five years. I became highly proficient in the progression of all subject's expectations at each grade level.
From 2011-2017 I taught at a traditional public school. My grade levels fluctuated between K-8. My previous teaching experiences of individual lesson plans continued into the public school environment.
In 2017 I retired from teaching and shortly after I began tutoring. My forte is tutoring. I really enjoy tutoring because each student is an individual with different learning needs and solutions. We collaborate together to achieve those goals.
